The Kids and Teens We Serve…
- 1,700 Club members in 2010
- 65% from Woburn, 13% from Burlington, 7% from Reading, 6% from Winchester and 9% from other communities
- 50% boys and 50% girls
- Ages Under 8: 2%, 8-10: 35%, Ages 11-12: 28%, Ages 13-15: 26%, Ages 16-18: 19%
- Caucasian: 79%, Hispanic/Latino: 5%, Asian American: 8%, African American: 6%, Other: 2%
Our Daily Impact…
- Between 200 and 300 members attend the Club and its programs
- Over 100 kids receive homework assistance and tutoring at the Club and three school based academic enrichment sites
- Over 80 teens participate in daily leadership, character and service development projects
- Over 50 kids receive quality licensed childcare

- One School Unit: Shamrock Elementary School, Woburn
- Two School Extensions: Hurld Elementary School, Woburn and Linscott-Rumford Element School, Woburn
Our History…
- Incorporated May 15, 1959
- Opened November 11, 1964
- Original Clubhouse included a games room, club rooms and pool. Gymnasium was added in 1970 and pool was re-built in 1978-79. Arts & Education Center added in 2001 and Teen Center opened in 2004 to national recognition.
Our Budget & Finances…
- $1.1 million budget for FY2010
- Club membership Dues: $25 (with minimal to non-existent program fees for youth members)
- Income: Pledges-20%, Benefit Affairs-18%, Child Care-13%, Grants-11%, Camps-11%, Other-10%, Government-8%, Non-member Program-7%, Dues-2%
- Expenses: Program Services-77%, Benefit Affairs-9%, Administration-8%, Fundraising-6%
