Project Learn Licensed Childcare
Extended Day Program
Project Learn is a licensed childcare enrichment program offered by the Boys & Girls Club of Woburn in conjunction with the Woburn Public Schools. The program is offered every day after school until 5:45, including early release days, throughout the school year. It is a professionally supervised program in which children can grow and learn in a fun, safe and supportive environment.
Located at the Hurld and Linscott Rumford and at the Club, Project Learn offers a program staff that meets requirements set by the Office of Early Education and Care. We offer a ratio of one group leader for no more than 13 children. Staff members are certified in First Aid/CPR and have passed state and federal criminal background checks.
The Project Learn program uses Boys & Girls Clubs of America’s high yield learning strategy as the basis of its activities. Activities will include: Homework Help, Games, Arts & Crafts, Leisure Reading, Sports, Creative Writing, Drama and Special Events. Project Learn also offers licensed childcare programs over February & April school vacations. The Vacation Camp program serves youth in Kindergarten through 7th grade. The program is typically available Tuesday through Friday of each vacation week from 8:00-5:30 pm. The week will be filled with Educational Curriculum, Swimming, Sports, Arts & Crafts, along with a field trip for the whole group.
